Lindores Abbey was founded in the late 12th century by monks; the Abbey is now little more than an overgrown ruin. Lindores’ one wash still and two spirit stills will produce a lightly peated Lowland malt using barley grown on neighbouring farms and around Fife. They are aiming to bring a modern whisky-making approach to the ancient site. They began filling whisky casks in December 2017 and their Single Malt will be avalible in the future.
Lindores Abbey Distillery is located in Newburgh, Fife, where they distill and produce Scotch Whisky.
