About Sainsbury's

The second largest supermarket chain in the UK. Sainsbury's was founded in 1869 in Holborn, London and now operates over 1,000 shops around the UK. Sainsbury's launced it's £1bn 20 by 20 sustainability plan in 2011 with gave them twenty targets to achieve by the end of the decade that covered a wide range of sustainability issues. It has since extended it's plan.
