About Kings Fumé
A lightly-oaked dry wine, rich in body and complexity, with elegant aromas of vanilla, butter and stone fruit. Kings Fum was picked by Decanter magazine as one of the best English wines within its category.
A lovely nose of soft apple blossom and gentle apricot lead to a palate that is just off-dry but deliciously fresh and easy to get along with. The apricot follows on from the nose and is combined with rounded citrus fruits - mainly subtle orange and lemon. Produced with the Ortega grape, this wine is just great on its own but will work very well with white fish dishes and salads.
An extremely accomplished wine produced from a blend of early-ripening varieties including Pinot gris, Ortega and Chardonnay. The acidity is naturally low, allowing the complex flavours of stone fruit, lychee and yellow apple to shine through. The finish is long, smooth and slightly minerally.
Davenport's benchmark English wine has aromatic peach and floral fruit with a background of yeasty flavour and a soft broad palate - a wine with real structure which can be drunk now.
