Tamdhu Distillery was founded in 1896, with the first malt whisky distilled and casked in 1897. Tamdhu whisky is predominantly used for the production of blended whiskies, although they do produce a range of single malts including the Tamdhu 50, a 50 year old bottling from a European oak sherry butt. The ex-Sherry casks offer Tamdhu whiskies a fragrant fruitiness with notes of honey and apple.
Tamdhu Distillery is located in Knockando, Banffshire on the banks of the River Spey where they distill and produce Scotch Whisky.
